Top 10 best Disney Channel shows of the 2010s

Disney channel has brought to life a variety of sitcom that the entire family can enjoy. Welcome to The Knockout! And today we would be counting down our list for the Top 10 Disney channel shows. This would be based the impact and the overall message of the series. We are not ranking it from best to worst as it shows is good on its on right. We wouldn't however be including shows from the 1990s or 2000s. We would not also be including animated TV shows like Phineas and Ferb because they deserve a list of their own. With that in mind let's get on with our list! 


10.  LIV AND MADDIE (2013-2017)
Liv Rooney (Dove Cameron), a Hollywood superstar returns home to start high school. This turns the life of Maddie Rooney (Dove Cameron) upside down as they are identical twins and it would mean that they'll have to share everything again. To make matters worse, their parents work at the same school.

The common theme in every episode is the bond of family, particularly that of twins. It also illustrate the bond between twins and how different twins can be. The common phrase used to explain this is "Sisters by Chance, Friends by Choice"


9. RAVEN'S HOME (2017-Present)
Raven's home follows the life of Raven Baxter (Raven-Symonรฉ) after the events of That's so Raven (2003-2007) as she is now a mother of twins Booker (Issac Ryan Brown) and Nia (Navia Robinson) and living with her best friend Chelsea (Anneliese Van der Pol) and her son Levi (Jason Maybaum). Booker also develops psychick abilities like his mom and they both use their gifts to try and fix the things they see in the future which has always led to a misunderstood way in their part.

The show is very strong on representation and family. Raven's Home shows that with your family, anything you ever dream of can come true. Even though there may be challenges on the way.

8. STUCK IN THE MIDDLE (2016-2018)
Ever wondered how chaotic a big family can be? Look no further than Stuck in the Middle. Middle child of seven (usually called Wednesday) Harley Diaz (Jenna Ortega) struggles to stand out of six siblings and dealing with having busy parents. She uses her technical skills and high intellect to control the upsidedown world that her family create.

The shows focuses on an Hispanic family which is a first in a long time for Disney channel. It shows how chaotic and annoying a family can be. But loving and understanding your family is all that matters.



7.SHAKE IT UP (2010-2013)
Thirteen year olds CeCe (Bella Thorne) and Rocky (Zendaya) fulfil their dreams of becoming professional dancers as they get accepted into Shake it Up Chicago. They discover how to juggle their new found dream while juggling that with everything in their lives and the people in it.

Shake It Up is a breath of fresh air for Disney. Shows on the network traditional follow the trend of TV shows of talented singers. The show takes the first step and focuses on dancing rather than singing. Making a dream come true with your friends  is the constant theme of this series.

6.  AUSTIN AND ALLY (2011-2016)
Austin Moon's (Ross Lynch) life changes forever 
when he performs one of the songs written by Ally Dawson (Laura Marano). Their life takes a comedic turn as they are clearly opposite as they work on songs together with Manager Trish and videographer dez.

Austin and Ally focuses on the importance of friendship as the friendship of the four main charactera is put in the forefront of the show. It also demonstrates how friendships with people with different personalities work.



5. ANDi MACK (2017-2019)
Andi Mack (Payton Elizabeth Lee) is a young girl who finds out on the eve of her thirteenth birthday that her free-spirited older sister Bex (Lilian Bowden) has been her mother all those years and had her as a result of teenage pregnancy. Andy still struggles with school and life as a teenage girl.

As far as mature themes go, Andi Mack has that covered which has never been tackled or tacked serously in Disney shows. Andi Mack handles themes like Teenage Pregnancy, sexual orientation and identity of religion and culture.

4. A.N.T Farm (2010-2014)
Music Prodigy China Parks (China Ann McClain) gets enrolled into the Westview High's A.N.T (Acquired Natural Talent) Program and meets new friends Olive and Fletcher. Together they use their various talent to get through highschool as normal teenagers do.

The show is based mostly on knowing what you can do and doing the best you can with it. Understanding how your talent works and using it to do the right thing. The students all so go through everyday life problems using comedic effect and satire.


3. K.C UNDERCOVER (2015-2018)
The show revolves around K.C (Zendaya) and her super spy family has they go undercover to bring to light the works of the Other Side (Yep real organisation) and save the world from evil and corrupt men. 

Zendaya is one of the executive producers of this show and she supported it because of the lack of black representation in television. It also has a lot of action packed episodes and themes about family, political issues and social responsibilities.


2. JESSIE (2011-2016)
The story follows the life of Jessie Prescott (Debbie Ryan) as she moves to New York from Texas in order to pursue her acting career. Things don't go according to plan as she meets the Ross family who their father happens to be a movie director and their mother a fashion designer. In order to attain her dreams, Jessie takes care of the Ross kids as their Nanny while going on wacky adventures.

The show revolves around family and how important the bond is between them. It also shows that family could also involve people you are not related with by blood or family.

GIRL MEETS WORLD (2015-2017)
An highschool girl finds her identity by navigating life and other aspects around it.


DOG WITH A BLOG (2017-2019)
A family is shocked that their dog can talk and write. 


VIOLETTA (2012-2015)
A girl finds her place in a school for musical talent.



BUNK'D (2015-Present)
Jessie spin-off that follows the life of the Ross kids at Camp Kikiwaka.



BIZAARDVARK (2016-2019)
The show is about two Google inspired teens who make funny videos to get subscribers. 






1. GOOD LUCK CHARLIE (2010-2014)
The Dunkan family is changed forever when Barb is expecting their fourth child Charlie. When the baby arrives it makes the family to adjust to their new life with their extra family while balancing work, school, and their social lives. This of course ends up in wacky situations which inspires Teddy (Brigit Mendler) to make video diaries for Charlie in order for her to see how their lives changed for the better with her in it.

As far as being realistic goes, this show shows how a modern family adjust with having another baby. It strongly ensures that viewers know the importance of family and the challenges a family faces everyday and how to deal with those challenges as a family.
